ABOUT ME

I am a writer, a wife and a mother, living in Cape Town with my husband and two sons. I am the author and co-author of four non-fiction books, but I also write about myself and what happens around me.

Writing has always been a part of my life, but I only decided to make it my profession three years ago. Before that, I worked in the telecommunications industry, first as a products and services trainer and later as a training support specialist. Throughout my time in the corporate world I had to either write or assist others to write documents.

When I eventually decided to become a writer full time, I completed a short course in magazine journalism and started to do some freelance work. That led to the opportunity to develop a course in business writing which I offered online at the South African Writers' College until the end of 2008, when I decided to concentrate more on creative writing and poetry. At the same I started to take on work from community based organisations and that lead to work as an Arts Administrator.  At the beginning of 2012 I attended a workshop on Organisational Development and decided that it was time to put together all past experiences and my natural tendency "to fix things". Shortly after that I started tinkertank my organisation that offers administrative solutions, workshops and presentations.
